Angel Island Tiburon Ferry’s Public Awareness Campaign “On Board For Safety” is an ongoing effort to get the word out on “preparedness” – because when it comes to your family’s safety there is no time like the present to do what it takes to “Be Prepared Today!”
Captain Maggie and the Angel Island Tiburon Ferry’s “On Board with Safety” Program is the focus in the California Living Community Awareness TV Campaign World Premiering February 2010 on-air and on-demand!
Every step you take will go a long way in helping you and your family survive in the event a natural disaster strikes. You can do the most good in the shortest amount of time by following these 3 easy steps:
1. Prepare a safety kit for your car, home, and office. See our “Survival Guide” for detailed checklists, safety tips, and suggestions.
2. Create a Family Emergency Plan so everyone is familiar with how to act in the event of a disaster.
3. Stay informed on the types of natural disasters that affect your area and what you can do to continuously “be prepared” by keeping up on the latest safety information provided by your local fire and police agencies, FEMA’s - Ready.gov, and your local American Red Cross Branch.
