EXPERIENCE 1860’S UNION ARMY POST LIFE DURING ANGEL ISLAND CIVIL WAR DAYS.
Angel Island State Park invites you to “step back in time” and experience a slice of life on Angel Island with the recreation of an 1860’s Union Army post during the Civil War on:
Saturday June 4, 2016 and June 5, 2016 from 10:00 am until 3:00 pm

Angel Island Tiburon Ferry & Captain Maggie McDonogh encourages everyone to take part in this free event taking place at Camp Reynolds located on Angel Island State Park offering the public a rare opportunity to experience Angel Island State Park’s “living history” through live demonstrations and activities the whole family will enjoy such as:
- Witness exciting live re-enactments of “mock battles” between Union and Confederate forces by historic re-enactors and park volunteers on the parade ground at 12:30 p.m. both days.
- Experience Cannon firings and Camp Reynolds tours throughout the day
- Meet the ladies working in the camp kitchen and take in the aroma of bread baking.
- Visitors to Camp Reynolds can become “recruits” to the Union Army with the opportunity to bake bread in the camp kitchen!
- Show your support for the Union Army by coloring your own flag to take home!
