Angel Island Tiburon Ferry's Captain Maggie keeps McDonogh family mission alive 55 years later

“It’s really a family affair,” offers McDonogh, adding, “My mate Skipper William Bryerton runs the boats along with me, and my 19 year old son Sam who is currently a deck hand, is diligently pursuing his 100 Ton Captain’s license so he can also get behind the wheel. Our daughter and younger son are also on-board to lend a hand and help out when ever they can…so I guess you can say this ferry boat business is really in our blood.”

Attention history buffs, tourists, and people of all ages – check out the Angel Island Immigration Stations NEW LOOK and relive a piece of California’s rich past through the cultural performances, audio kiosks, self guided tours, and new historical exibits offered in celebration of the Angel Island Immigration Station’s 100th Year Anniversary! Festivites will be held on Angel Island State Park Saturday, July 31, 2010 beginning at 11 AM and overlap throughout the day!
