Angel Island Tiburon Ferry's Captain Maggie keeps McDonogh family mission alive 55 years later

“It’s really a family affair,” offers McDonogh, adding, “My mate Skipper William Bryerton runs the boats along with me, and my 19 year old son Sam who is currently a deck hand, is diligently pursuing his 100 Ton Captain’s license so he can also get behind the wheel. Our daughter and younger son are also on-board to lend a hand and help out when ever they can…so I guess you can say this ferry boat business is really in our blood.”

Angel Island Hosts Free 'California Children's Outdoor Bill of Rights Day' this Weekend

Angel Island Park staff and volunteers will have stations setup that will provide park visitors with the opportunity to do all of their California Children’s Outdoor Bill of Rights in one day, whether its learning to fish or camp under the stars.
