Breaking News: California Department of Parks and Recreation announces the closure of Angel Island State Park to the public this weekend: Saturday Dec. 20 – Sunday, Dec. 21 due to storm related issues. All Ferry Service to Angel Island State Park has been canceled for the weekend as well.

Angel Island Tiburon Ferry's Captain Maggie keeps McDonogh family mission alive 55 years later

“It’s really a family affair,” offers McDonogh, adding, “My mate Skipper William Bryerton runs the boats along with me, and my 19 year old son Sam who is currently a deck hand, is diligently pursuing his 100 Ton Captain’s license so he can also get behind the wheel. Our daughter and younger son are also on-board to lend a hand and help out when ever they can…so I guess you can say this ferry boat business is really in our blood.”
